Long-time collaborators, Alexandra Roedder and Nancy Lee Harper return to Christ Church Cathedral to perform their newest programme inspired by the mythological bird, the Phoenix. Rising from the ashes, the Phoenix symbolizes death, decay, and rebirth. Music of Gabriel Fauré and Gustav Mahler are followed by that of three women composers: Cécile Chaminade, Rebecca Clarke, and a commissioned new work by Canadian, Rosemary Smith Mountain.
