Members of the Victoria Symphony perform treasures from 20th century France. Featuring Claude Debussy’s Suite bergamasque, which includes the widely recognized “Clair de lune”, this program will transport listeners with vivid imagery and lyrical beauty to a serene and tranquil summer’s evening. Other highlights include Debussy’s Première rhapsodie, Francis Poulenc’s “Adagio Cantabile” from Sinfionietta and Louis Cahuzac’s Cantilene. These acclaimed musicians are known for bringing music to life with their expressive styles, purity of sound, and sensitive phrasing.
