Ian Alexander has family roots in Victoria. He grew up on the Lower Mainland, studied at UBC and the University of Toronto, and spent 25 years working for CBC. In 2007, Ian and his wife, Marilyn Dalzell, returned to the West Coast, and have been active members of the Cathedral community ever since. Ian is also a member of the Servers Guild, and leads Matins once a week.
Beyond the precinct, Ian maintains an active freelance consulting practice, specializing in strategic planning, organizational development, policy and communications counsel in the public, not-for-profit and cultural sectors. He is a volunteer advisor to the Victoria Symphony, and was recently named a life-long Continuing Senior Fellow of Massey College in Toronto.
