Welcome Arrival

There were tears of gratitude and joy at Victoria Airport on September 27 when Safia and Saddam Alali welcomed family members Abdulmalik, Jasameen and Mustafa Alali to Canada. (see Victoria News article) With them were members of the CCC Refugee Support Group who had been working towards this moment for over three years. Abdulmalik is the son of Safia and older brother of Saddam - who have now been in Victoria for five years. It was eight years since Abdulmalik had seen his mother.
