New Organ Scholar receives Scholarship

New organ scholar at the Cathedral, Jorge Eduardo Flores Carrizales, received the Hart Memorial Scholarship from the Royal Canadian College of Organists - Victoria Centre, which is offered yearly toward a student’s organ study. 

Hearing the news, Jorge commented “I heard about the Hart scholarship a few weeks ago, when I had just started my journey as the organ scholar at Christ Church Cathedral. It is a blessing to have known the wonderful community of RCCO, and my organ teachers Donald Hunt and Mark McDonald. Now, as the recipient of the scholarship, I am committed to giving back with music what I have received in trust”.
