Art for New Banners

New banners will soon brighten lamp standards around the Cathedral, printed using designs created by Grade 8 students at Christ Church Cathedral School. When art teacher Sandi Henrich explained what the Cathedral was looking for, all 16 students in the class agreed to participate, spending extra hours of their own time to complete the layered, multimedia pieces. "They just ran with it," said Henrich. She added that the students were inspired by learning about famous abstract expressionists such as Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee.  The banners will be completed later this spring.
