This season kicks off with packed weekend on 28-29 October. On Saturday, October 28th, the Intimate Encounters series enters its third season featuring music from the Stylus Fantasticus. On Reformation Sunday (October 29th), between a Lutheran liturgy and an English Reformation Choral Evensong, the Saint Christopher Singers present a concert of Lutheran chorales (Madeleine Humer, conductor) featuring organ solos by Director of Music, Donald Hunt.

In November, we take time to remember lives lost. Not just those of soldiers, but of friends and loved ones. The Naden Band and CapriCCio Vocal Ensemble present Remembrance concerts of their own and the Cathedral Choirs (featuring the Victoria Children's Choir) present a devotional performance of Fauré's Requiem, op. 48

New Year's Eve and Day features a double bill of music new and old! On December 31, Donald Hunt (organ) plays Olivier Messiaen's watershed Christmas meditation La Nativité du Seigneur. Return the following afternoon (January 1, 2018, 2pm) for Old Music for the New Year.

In February, the cathedral plays host to the Pacific Baroque Festival, this year paying tribute to the French Baroque and to CapriCCio Vocal Ensemble's Tales from Vienna.

Spring 2018's highlights include The Chapel Choir of Royal Holloway, London and the UK's Charles Daniels (tenor) with Alexander Weimann (organ) presenting a concert of English Song.

In June, our Friday evening Organ Series returns, and in July and August, you can drop by the cathedral any Saturday at 4pm for some high quality chamber music from both local and international performers.
