Thursday, November 5, 12 noon – 1.00 pm
In preparation for celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the priesting of women, this panel uses the power of story telling to engage the memories and mentors that brought us to this day, and the messages that they suggest for future generations. Join three clergy with wide-ranging perspectives — the Reverend Canon Jeannine Friesen, The Reverend Dr. Judy Rois and the Very Reverend M. Ansley Tucker, Dean Emerita — in a lively panel conversation moderated by the Venerable Jenny Replogle, Executive Archdeacon of the Diocese. The conversation will be recorded, posted and shared.
This November marks 50 years since the first women were priested in the Anglican Church of Canada, a landmark moment in the Church’s history. To commemorate this milestone, the Anglican Diocese of Islands and Inlets (British Columbia) is inviting people from across Canada and beyond to a celebration here at Christ Church Cathedral.
