When Mozart was just a boy, he famously garnered the attention of the Vatican police after being caught with a manuscript of Gregorio Allegri's famous "Miserere mei." One of the Vatican's most tightly-guarded treasures, the "Miserere" features a semi-chorus in the balcony and a soaring top C from the soprano soloist, and could only be sung in the Sistine Chapel.    It turns out that Mozart had not actually stolen the manuscript but transcribed it entirely from memory after a single hearing!   Come to our Ash Wednesday ritual to soak up this stunning composition just as the young Mozart did!
