The Cathedral Check-in: Interview with Dr. Lorna Wanosts’a7 Williams

In this week's edition of the Cathedral Check-in, Conciliation Think Tank Co-Chair Dr. Martha McGinnis speaks with Dr. Lorna Wanosts’a7 Williams (Lil'wat Nation), an Indigenous educator and language specialist and a former Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Knowledge and Learning at the University of Victoria. Dr. Williams speaks about the  impact of residential schools on Indigenous people and communities, about constructive Indigenous-settler relationships, and about Indigenous resurgence and reclamation. The cathedral wishes to thank Dr. Williams for making time for this interview and sharing her knowledge.

In July, the cathedral will collect monthly outreach donations in support of the Indian Residential School Survivors Society, an organization which provides aid and services to survivors of Indian Residential Schools.
