Now that the Cathedral’s new Director of Music has had time to settle in, St Christopher Singers’ Director, Madeleine Humer has indicated that this would be a suitable moment for her to step back from her regular role at Choral Evensong so that Donald Hunt might more fully fulfill his responsibilities leading the Cathedral’s musical ministry.

Madeleine has dedicated herself to St Christopher Singers for over 20 years, leading with exceptional energy, professionalism, and musicality, thus contributing to the emergence of the Choral Evensong Service’s popularity to both congregants and musicians. Her leadership over these years has helped bring a small ensemble to the respected choir whose music we enjoy every Sunday. We thank Madeleine for all her musical contributions to our parish and are pleased that she will continue to be part of St Christopher Singers as a choir member. -Donald Hunt
