Sock Project

The Cathedral groups that provide breakfast and supper at Our Place are launching the Stuff a Sock. Project and we need your help. Our aim:  To collect 500 pairs of stuffed socks by January 21, 2020.  

Fill a sock (or pair of…)  for someone living in poverty with items such as toothbrush and toothpaste, a sweet treat, baby wipes, gloves, a comb, more socks, deodorant, underwear and anything else (no alcohol) that might be needed and lift a person’s spirits at this time of year.

Ask your friends and neighbours to fill a pair of socks so we can make this time a bit more comfortable for as many people as possible.

Filled socks can be dropped off at coffee hour any Sunday in December and January (until January 21, 2020) or in a bin at the deanery during the week.  We are working with the Coalition to End Homelessness, which will be holding the annual Project Connect on January 21, 2020 and distributing the socks then.    (https://victoriahomelessness.ca/projectconnect/#toggle-id-2)
