Mary Moved to Canada with her husband in 1971 and to Victoria in 1994. Her background is in primary education with an emphasis on students with special needs. She has masters degrees in both education administration and special education. She was appointed school principal in 1982 in Burnaby B.C. and her last assignment was at George Jay School in Victoria. Since retiring in 2001, Mary has been active in the life of the Cathedral Parish as Vestry Clerk, steward, and a member of the Chancel Guild. She usually attends the 11.00 a.m. service, participating as a reader and Lay Eucharistic Minister, and she leads evening prayer once a week. Mary has also served on the Cathedral School Board in various roles, including the chair. Mary has two sons and seven grandchildren. Martin, her husband of 53 years, died in September 2017. Mary feels she has big shoes to fill.
