The Emily Carr String Quartet plays the second concert in their Mendelssohn series at Christ Church Cathedral. This series of six concerts, which includes the complete Mendelssohn String Quartets, celebrates one of the Romantic Era’s greatest talents. On this program: Mendelssohn’s Quartet in D major, Op. 44, No. 1 and the Fugue from his Four Pieces for String Quartet, Op. 81) as well as Gondola by the Canadian composer Linda Caitlin Smith.
