Sunday by Sunday new people join us for worship; some are casual visitors; others may be quietly, tentatively looking for a spiritual home base. During the recent workshop led by Bishop Anna, she asked us to reflect on what we might do to strengthen our ability in offering newcomers a warm, personable welcome which will lead them to want to return, and indeed, want to become an active member of our faith community.
You are invited to a 30 minute workshop between the 9.15 and the 11 o’clock services on Sunday, March 26th to develop our skills in welcoming newcomers, offering them a strong atmosphere of welcome, and engaging them so they will want to become active members of our parish. It will focus on encouraging all of us to be more proactive in inviting them to and engaging them in the full life of our faith community.
