Pianist Angela Hewitt is an international music superstar and a musical ambassador for her country. She is also one of the great Bach interpreters of all time, currently on a globe-circling Bach Odyssey tour, which touches down in Victoria on Thursday, August 2 at 7:30 pm.
Two nights earlier, on Tuesday, July 31st, Ms. Hewitt will have played Book One of Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier at the Chan Centre in Vancouver. She crosses the Salish Sea to complete her Pacific Rim traversal of this monumental work by playing Book Two of the same work at the Cathedral in Victoria.
