Christ Church Cathedral celebrates music’s patron saint with an all-day open house featuring a delightfully surprising array of Victoria performers filling the vast vaulted space with breathtaking music. The day will appeal to lovers of music with something for virtually everyone!

The uplifting cathedral bells peal forth to herald the start of the day at 9am. Guest performers include violist Maki Yamagata, the Victoria Accordion Club, students from the University of Victoria School of Music strings, voice and organ programs, and the Cathedral Choirs (who are fundraising for a trip to the UK in July of 2022). Appearances from local favourites like The Klezbians, Cookeilidh and the Odd Hack Band round off the musical performances, and the festivities close with an Evensong service in honour of St Cecilia.

Freewill offering. Proceeds will support the Cathedral Choirs’ 2023 tour to the UK.

This all day event will not be livestreamed.
