 ral music\, featuring music by G.F. Handel and Italian composer Barbara St
 rozzi\, with music by feature composer Canadian\, Katerina Gimon.\nChoral 
 legend Howard Dyck leads the 100-voice Sing the North Festival Chorus &amp
 \; Orchestra in three great works by Handel: the energetic and youthful Di
 xit Dominus\, the moving Utrecht Jubilate Deo and the famous Coronation An
 them\, Zadok the Priest\, heard round the world as the pinnacle musical ce
 lebration at the crowning of King Charles II.\nOur soloists are the spellb
 inding Polish-Canadian soprano\, Karoline Podolak\, wonderful baroque spec
 ialist soprano Janelle Lucyk\, exclusive Sony recording artist Daniel Tayl
 or\, and powerful Canadian bass\, Alexander Dobson. Joining them are three
  favourite local tenors Felix Butterfield\, Tim Carter\, and Adam Dyjach.\
 nOur program mixes Handel’s large-scale works with intimate cantatas and
  madrigals from the queen of the Italian early baroque\, Barbara Strozzi\,
  which will be performed by the Sing the North Festival Chamber Choirs.\nW
 e’re thrilled to showcase the innovative and unique voice of young Vanco
 uver composer Katerina Gimon\, who is the 2026 Feature Composer at the Sin
 g the North Festival. Katerina’s music\, which invokes themes from Hilde
 gard of Bingen\, sounds of the natural world\, and the pulse of ancient rh
 ythms will thrill out audiences.
