THE RAISING OF LAZARUS – finally!!
At evensong for All Souls on Sunday 1 November, at 4.00 p.m., a group of actors from the Cathedral will be presenting THE RAISING OF LAZARUS, which is one of the plays that was presented in the York Mystery Cycle of plays in medieval England. Originally, this performance was to be a dramatic presentation of the gospel on Lent 5, but we all know what happened after Lent 3! After one of the longest rehearsal periods in history (9 months!!), it will finally be presented before the congregation.
