 en\, piano\nAcclaimed pianist Sarah Hagen returns to Christ Church Cathedr
 al to present a joyous programme celebrating the gift of water. The concer
 t will feature Ravel’s Jeux d’eau (Water Games)\, Debussy’s Reflets 
 dans l’eau (Reflections in the Water) and works by Chopin\, Liszt\, an
 d others. Both music and water are elemental to life\, responding to a dee
 ply felt need. Often the two intertwine in our speech and thought: we talk
  about a thirst for beauty\, and the way music flows. In this programme\
 , Sarah explores music’s extraordinary ability to harness both the beaut
 iful rhythms of waves and rainfall as well the sense of calm and depth tha
 t can result from water’s stillness. Originally from Vancouver Island\,
  Sarah enjoys an international career as a soloist and chamber musician. S
 arah is a visionary who places innovation and collaboration at the forefro
 nt of her performances. This recital is sponsored by the Gail O’Riordan 
 Climate and Arts Legacy Fund.\nAdmission by donation\nBoth music and water

 tor\, Executive Director of the Gorge Waterway Action Society\, will foll
 ow the performance. Audiences can also visit presentation tables by the G
 orge Waterway Action Society and the free community sharing hub Creativel
 y United for the Planet\, both before and after the concert.
