Janet BaileyI was born and raised in England and met my husband Peter through the “Anglican Society” when we were students in Glasgow.
Peter and I live in Saanichton and have two children, Richard, who is a music student at UVic, and Sarah, who was born with physical and intellectual disabilities and so lives at home with us. Our family life revolves around the supports for Sarah, managing her daily activities and extended family of caregivers. Although there have been challenges along the way, Sarah has taught us the importance of building a supportive community built on inclusion.
In my professional life I work for an accounting firm in Sidney and for relaxation I enjoy gardening, hiking and Scottish Country Dancing. I have been a member of Christ Church Cathedral since 2008 and I usually attend the 9:15am service. Please speak to me at coffee time about any issues or ideas you would like to be forwarded to parish council.

Kate Miller
I have a 15 year history with the Cathedral, and have worked nearly all of that time with Michael Gormley in the Cathedral Choir. The same year as I arrived, I was asked by the Dean, John Wright, to be a Deputy Warden; this position I held for two years. Simultaneously, I worked with Michael to build up, and teach our junior choir the Royal School of Church Music. We have a good number of graduates of that programme. During this five year period I served on Parish Council, Diocesan Council and attended synod as a delegate on four occasions.
I am happy to have this opportunity to become more involved in these areas once again.
